Data processed

This waiting page has no form, newsletter or user account. Data that may be processed include information you voluntarily send by email and technical data contained in server logs (IP address, date/time, requested resource without query parameters, HTTP status and user-agent). If you allow audience measurement, a self-hosted Umami instance also processes the page path, page title, a minimised referrer, authorised UTM parameters and technical information about the browser, operating system, device, screen, language and approximate location. The IP address is used during processing for session and location metrics but is not stored as a raw IP address in the analytics database. Search terms entered by visitors, form contents, user filenames and data handled by Event Runbook tools are not sent to analytics.

Purposes and legal bases

Incoming messages are processed to answer the request. Depending on its nature, processing relies on the legitimate interest in managing exchanges about the website or, where a contractual relationship is being considered, on pre-contractual steps requested by the person. Technical logs rely on the legitimate interest in securing the service, diagnosing errors and maintaining availability. Audience measurement, analysis of content and tool usage, acquisition sources and UTM campaigns is carried out only on the basis of your prior consent.

Recipients

Data is accessible only to the publisher when required to answer or administer the service, and to providers strictly required for technical operation, including OVHcloud for hosting. Umami is self-hosted on Event Runbook infrastructure; analytics data is not sent to Umami Cloud or to an advertising network.

Retention

Nginx access logs are configured for 14-day retention and do not record URL query strings. The audience-measurement preference is stored locally for 6 months. Detailed analytics data is retained for a maximum of 13 months, with short-lived operational backups. Email exchanges are kept for the time needed to handle the request and then for no more than 12 months after the last exchange, unless a legal obligation or contractual relationship requires otherwise.

Cookies and tracking

Event Runbook uses no advertising cookies, marketing pixels or social widgets. Audience measurement using the self-hosted Umami service can only be enabled after your consent. The tracker is not loaded before this choice. Your decision to allow or refuse audience measurement is stored locally so that your preference can be respected. Language continues to be determined by the URL.

Service availability monitoring

Event Runbook uses UptimeRobot to monitor the technical availability of certain public pages and detect possible service interruptions.

This monitoring is based on technical requests sent to Event Runbook’s public pages. No UptimeRobot script, pixel, widget or tracking tool is embedded on eventrunbook.com.

A public service status page is hosted directly by UptimeRobot. When you choose to visit this page, you leave Event Runbook and access a third-party service which may process technical data in accordance with its own privacy policy.

Transfers outside the EEA

The public website and the self-hosted analytics service are hosted in France on OVHcloud SBG6 infrastructure. No third-party analytics provider is loaded by Event Runbook public pages. Email processing depends on the mail service attached to contact@eventrunbook.com and remains subject to the configuration of that service.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure or restriction of personal data and exercise the right to object where applicable. Data portability applies under the conditions set by the GDPR. You may withdraw your audience-measurement consent at any time through the “Privacy preferences” link available in the website footer. To exercise your other rights: contact@eventrunbook.com. If the issue remains unresolved, you may lodge a complaint with the French CNIL.
